About the role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with at least one year of broad-based OR experience and a strong interest in Orthopedics and Neurology. This position offers a generous sign-on bonus of $15,000.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates patient care planning with other disciplines using the nursing process and critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required, and adjusts nursing care processes as necessary to ensure optimal patient care.
- Writes or obtains initial nursing histories, assesses patients' conditions, and develops individual care plans while maintaining accurate patient documentation.
- Completes rounds on all units, notes patients' conditions, and notifies appropriate physicians regarding any unusual or unexpected events or problems requiring direct physician consultation.
- Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary patient care team, implements patient instructional needs, and provides informational material to patients and families.
- Evaluates patient care outcomes, consults with specialists as needed, and adjusts nursing care processes as necessary to ensure optimal patient care.
- Identifies and resolves workplace health and safety issues.
- Promotes aseptic techniques and manages IV lines, ensuring sterile techniques are adhered to and overseeing patient movement and positioning to ensure medical safety.
- Administers pharmacological vasodilator medications for nuclear myocardial perfusion imaging and complies with examination competency standards.
- Complies with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards, taking corrective action when violations occur.
- Orients, instructs, and educates assigned personnel.

Requirements
- Current RN licensure in the State of Arizona and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred, with two years of EP experience or demonstrated competency in EP Lab procedures for positions assigned to EP.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
