Registered Nurse, OR/Preop/PACU

About the role

The Retina Institute of Illinois is seeking an Operating Room Nurse/Preop/PACU to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a strong commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care and experience supporting surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing assessment and nursing care to patients in the facility
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Circulate surgical procedures for various surgeons
• Maintain a safe patient care environment
• Prepare surgery suites for procedures
• Operate equipment and perform technical skills according to policies and standards
• Monitor surgery inventory and notify when supplies are needed
• Support the mission, vision, and core values of the organization

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED certificate
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active RN license in the state where work will be conducted
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Current surgical experience within the past 3 years
• Knowledge of patient monitoring equipment
