About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, effective, and patient-centered care across diverse populations, under the supervision of the Department Director or Charge Nurse. This PRN role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring adherence to clinical standards and departmental policies. The position requires flexibility to float to other units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Collaborate with healthcare team to achieve unit and hospital goals
• Adhere to clinical standards and departmental guidelines
• Provide care across a broad age range, from infants to geriatrics
• Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities when necessary

Qualifications & Skills

• Current, unrestricted RN license in South Carolina
• Current BCLS certification
• Completion of nursing orientation and IV therapy training or competency
• Participation in Skills Fair and maintenance of required competencies
• Previous hospital experience and advanced certification in a specialty area
• Ability to assume Charge Nurse duties and maintain department-specific certifications
• Membership in a professional nursing organization is preferred
