About the role
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on physical, emotional, and social health status.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings, setting goals and outlining interventions.
Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary and documenting progress in the electronic medical record.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve patient care issues and ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies to empower them in managing their health.
Supervise and guide nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality patient care, maintaining a professional rapport with all team members.
Ensure safe and effective handoff communications by using standardized communication tools during shift changes and patient transfers.
Perform and oversee complex patient care interventions while maintaining aseptic technique and infection control practices.
Provide discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition from hospital to home or another care setting, addressing the patient's needs and resources.
Engage in ongoing education and professional development to maintain clinical competencies and improve patient care.
Maintain detailed records of patient care activities to support continuity of care and prevent errors.

- Associate's of Nursing
- Bachelor's of Nursing
- Acute/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCNS) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
- Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
