About the role

Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join their Surgical Services team at the Edwardsville Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Responsibilities

- Providing pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care - Performing patient assessments and preparing patients for surgery - Assisting surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists during procedures - Maintaining sterile technique and ensuring a safe surgical environment - Monitoring patients and responding to changes in condition - Supporting smooth workflow and efficient surgical case management - Ensuring accurate documentation and continuity of care

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday 8-hour shifts No weekends (if applicable)

Requirements

- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN required) - Current Illinois RN license - Current BLS certification required - OR experience preferred - New graduates welcome to apply

- Competent in perioperative care - Strong teamwork and communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
