Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing practices based on up‑to‑date evidence‑based research, policies, and standards of care to ensure safe, individualized patient care.
• Communicate continuously with patients, nursing colleagues, and other health‑care team members regarding patient status, care rendered, and treatment plans.
• Administer medications using bar‑scanning and documentation technologies to ensure the safest delivery.
• Perform point‑of‑care electronic documentation of assessments, plan of care, interventions, and evaluations.
• Provide patient‑ and family‑centered education to optimize health, wellness, and disease management.
• Participate in multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
• Scrub and circulate on a variety of surgical cases in a busy OR department.

Requirements

• Current and valid New Jersey nursing license.
• BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association (required within 60 days of hire).
• Minimum of 6 months nursing experience, or active participation in the Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program; nursing experience preferred.
• OR (CVOR) experience preferred.
• National nursing certification preferred.
• BSN in progress or willingness to obtain within three (3) years of hire.
• Motivated team member with strong self‑starter attitude, able to work independently.
• Excellent time‑management and prioritization skills; ability to multitask.
• Quick learner who can adapt to changing patient needs, with a strong sense of accountability, teamwork, and dedication to ongoing education.

Pay

Minimum rate of $45.14 hourly. This rate is a good‑faith estimate of the minimum base pay at the time of posting, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act. Actual compensation may vary based on market data, experience, internal equity, budget considerations, and may include shift differentials, performance‑based incentives, or bonuses.
