About the role
The Registered Nurse specializing in perioperative nursing practice during intraoperative surgical experience. Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient‑family centered care in the operating room and other areas of perioperative services for all patient populations. The perioperative nurse acts as the patient advocate and is responsible for the direction and supervision of any personnel assigned to him/her. He/she will be on call for the Surgery Unit on a regular scheduled rotation.
Medical, Dental & Vision benefits paid by Employer! Up to $20,000 Sign‑On Bonus. Wage Range: $48.18‑$81.97 per hour. Day Shift, Full‑time – 36 hours per week. Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 6:30 am – 7:00 pm with on‑call required (average 4 nights of call every 2 months). Housing available for overnight call. Vascular experience preferred. Holiday rotation applies.
Responsibilities

- Implement the plan of care by:
- Protecting the patient from injury caused by extraneous objects and chemical, electrical, laser, mechanical, and thermal sources.
- Performing accounting procedures to protect the patient from unintended retained surgical items.
- Performing interventions necessary to ensure that the patient’s procedure is performed on the correct site, side, and level.
- Managing the patient’s specimens according to organizational policy and procedures.
- Communicating the patient’s status to relevant parties throughout the continuum of care.
