About the role
This position offers a highly collaborative, patient-centered perioperative environment at The University of Vermont Medical Center, Vermont's only Level I Trauma Center. You will circulate and scrub across a wide range of high-acuity surgical cases including trauma, cardiac, neuro, orthopedics, and robotic-assisted (Da Vinci) procedures.
Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub across a full range of high-acuity surgical cases including trauma, cardiac, neuro, orthopedics, and robotic-assisted (Da Vinci) procedures.
- Work in true partnership with engaged surgeons, a strong intraoperative support team, and visible, available leadership (support readily accessible throughout the day).
- Emphasize a team-based OR culture focused on patient-centered care, efficient communication, and shared accountability in the surgical environment.
- Offer flexible scheduling (8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts), safe staffing with reliable break coverage, and reasonable call expectations, with opportunities for specialty alignment and continued professional growth in a high-acuity OR setting.
Requirements
- Prior Operating Room Nursing Experience Required.
- Incentives: Candidates may be eligible for up to a $20K RN Sign-On Bonus for full-time (pro-rated for part time).
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.
- ADN required, BSN preferred.
- Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
