About the role
TalentBurst is seeking a Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR) for a 13-week contract position at 660F Surgery - Operating Room in Lawrenceville, GA. The schedule is 3 days per week, 36 hours per week, with 3x12-hour shifts starting at 6:30 AM and ending at 7:00 PM. Call is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room setting.
- Assist with surgical procedures under the supervision of a surgeon.
- Ensure sterile technique and maintain aseptic conditions.
- Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient care.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures related to infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) experience.
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the submitting facility.
- Required certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS.
- Experience with Cerner EMR.
- Specialty experience in: Neurosurgery, Orthopedic surgery, Robotic surgery (preferred).
Qualifications
- Must be versatile and comfortable working across multiple surgical specialties, with a primary focus on Neuro and Orthopedic procedures.
Skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in operating room equipment and procedures.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
