Registered Nurse Operating Room

About the role

This position involves leading the surgical environment within the Operating Room, managing scrub and circulating functions to ensure a sterile, safe, and efficient operative experience. The nurse advocates for patient safety through continuous monitoring, clear communication, and holistic care before, during, and after procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with critical tasks such as wound exposure and suturing
• Prepare the operating suite and instrumentation
• Maintain accurate real-time documentation
• Manage surgical procedures ensuring safety, sterility, and efficiency
• Collaborate with surgical team and assist physicians during operations
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and environment
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
• Prioritize patient safety and holistic care throughout the surgical process

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing
• Advanced Life Support certification (to be obtained within 6 months)
• BLS Provider certification (to be obtained within 1 month)
• Accredited nursing diploma or equivalent licensure
