Role Summary This position involves practicing professional nursing by performing both independent and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted standards. Key responsibilities include providing health promotion, supportive and restorative care, disease prevention, and treatment of various conditions, utilizing specialized knowledge and judgment. The nurse builds strong patient relationships, assesses health data, prioritizes patient needs, and responds effectively to emergencies. They administer medications, including intravenous therapies, and ensure safety protocols are followed to promote quality care. The role also involves patient education, care coordination, advocating for patients, and collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize resource utilization. Qualifications & Skills Minimum one year of RN experience, including oncology within the past five years.Graduate of an approved RN program with clinical experience supervised by faculty or preceptor.Colorado RN license, BLS certification within three months, and ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification.Strong customer service, critical thinking, IV skills, and teamwork abilities. Key Duties Ensure safety and quality in all clinical interactions, including medication administration and infection prevention.Assess patient health status, analyze data, and develop care plans.Triaging patients and managing emergency situations appropriately.Provide health education and counseling to patients and families.Execute delegated medical functions, including medication delivery and therapy management.Coordinate care across healthcare services, advocate for patients, and lead within the healthcare team.
