About the role

Provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Liberty, NC. This overnight position offers a consistent weekday schedule (Monday-Friday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM) for those who enjoy working independently and thrive during overnight hours.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manage required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
  • Evaluate, treat, and prioritize patient care within the scope of practice
  • Deliver evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerate return to work, and coordinate case management with the TPA and client
  • Implement and monitor transitional duty programs for injured workers
  • Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
  • Administer medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
  • Maintain medical equipment, ensure a clean and safe environment, and follow infection control procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient health records
  • Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
  • Assist with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from a four-year college or university is preferred
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
  • Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
  • Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC, or equivalent Basic Life Support for healthcare providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
  • At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
  • Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including identifying/mitigating workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return-to-work exams
