Registered Nurse - Obstetrics
Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for implementing the Nursing Process based on established Standards of Practice and ensuring all patient care policies and procedures are adhered to in accordance with Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskill’s Hospital policies, the Nurse Practice Act, and the New York State Licensure requirements. The registered nurse will be able to exhibit critical thinking, effectively organize/prioritize accordingly, and implement evidence-based nursing.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum Experience: One year of medical/surgical experience in an acute care setting is required.
- Required Certification/Registration: Currently licensed and registered in NY State to practice as a registered professional nurse.
- Successfully completed the BLS Provider Course to being released from unit orientation.
- Successfully completed an AWHONN Basic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) course within 6 months of hire.
- Successfully completed Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 6 months of hire.
- Successfully completed ACLS Provider Course within 6 months of hire.
- Successfully completed the S.T.A.B.L.E. program within 6 months of hire.
- Successfully completed an AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring (EFM) course within two years of hire, and every 2 years thereafter.
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification within 3 years preferred.
- RNC, RN, or Obstetrical Nursing Certification preferred.
- Maintains all required certifications for the areas assigned.

Pay
Compensation for this role is $48.50 - $74.60. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
