Responsibilities
- Delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing and promoting evidence based practice standards of quality, safety and service.
- Assesses patients and develops a plan of care that meets their needs.
- Performs technical skills necessary to provide direct patient care.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, interdisciplinary team members, and other health care providers.
- Utilizes critical thinking skills to evaluate patient responses to treatment and make appropriate adjustments to care plans.
- Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Ensures compliance with hospital policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based best practices.
Requirements
- Active Florida RN license required.
- Seven months of RN experience in Labor & Delivery.
- Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, BSN preferred.
- RNs hired with an Associate degree will have 3 years from their date of hire to complete the BSN degree.
- BLS and ACLS required.
- Certification in area of practice preferred.
Qualifications
Active Florida RN license required. Seven months of RN experience in Labor & Delivery. Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, BSN preferred.
