About the Role
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Acts as a patient advocate while utilizing the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal-focused, individualized, safe, age-specific care for all patients including those with complex pathophysiological and/or psychosocial needs.
Unit Description
CDU – 14-bed unit with all private rooms, serving observation patients with telemetry. This unit sees a wide range of adult patients with an average length of stay of 30 hours. Fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- BSN preferred
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
