Registered Nurse - Observation - F/T - Days

About the role

The Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for delivering safe and excellent individualized patient care. They assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring continuity and coordination across the care continuum.

Responsibilities

• Collects comprehensive data for comprehensive assessment and data collection.
• Develops a plan of care that includes strategies and interventions to achieve expected outcomes.
• Communicates and coordinates with patient/family, nursing colleagues, and other members of the health care team.
• Administers medications using the latest advancements in bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Coordinates multi-disciplinary discharges to ensure safe transitions and continuum of care.
• Evaluates progress towards achieving outcomes and initiates interventions related to patient's condition.
• Adapts to changing patient needs and enhances patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an associate's degree in Nursing or a diploma in Nursing.
• BSN in progress and willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• A current and valid Registered Nurse license to work at the assigned HMH location by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• Six or more months of relevant nursing experience or active participation in the Nurse Residency Program.
• The ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and demonstrate exceptional teamwork and patient focus.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
