Responsibilities

• Assists providers with patient care
• Maintains patient records and completes administrative duties
• Delivers patient education and supports informed healthcare choices
• Facilitates effective teamwork with clinical support staff
• Delegates care appropriately according to Colorado statute
• Demonstrates healthcare assessment, prioritization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Administers medications, performs treatments, and assists in procedures
• Performs venipunctures, administers injections, and initiates intravenous therapy
• Obtains, monitors, and records vital signs, patient history, and invasive procedures
• Coordinates patient care with other disciplines and external parties
• Prepares patients for scheduled procedures
• Maintains patient documentation and communicates the plan of care with providers
• Arranges for provider ordered diagnostics or therapeutic services
• Maintains cleanliness, stock of supplies, and functioning equipment in examination rooms
• Cleans and sterilizes equipment and tools
• Completes shift opening and closing procedures

Requirements

• 2 years experience with applicable patient care and administrative duties preferred
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance, and OSHA rules and regulations required
• State of Colorado Registered Nurse or valid compact state license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required

• Ability to obtain, monitor, and record vital signs, patient history, and invasive procedures
• Ability to coordinate patient care with other disciplines and external parties
• Ability to prepare patients for scheduled procedures
• Ability to maintain patient documentation and communicate the plan of care with providers
• Ability to arrange for provider ordered diagnostics or therapeutic services
• Ability to maintain cleanliness, stock of supplies, and functioning equipment in examination rooms
• Ability to clean and sterilize equipment and tools
• Ability to complete shift opening and closing procedures

Pay

Hourly pay range: $37.90 - $60.45 USD
