About the role
The Pre-Op/Post Op Registered Nurse will provide exemplary patient care alongside Physicians in treating cataracts, glaucoma, diseases of the cornea, and performing laser vision correction surgeries.
Responsibilities
- Exercise good clinical judgement during Pre-Op/Post Op care
- Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced PACU and OR
- Exhibit sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Assist in the overall management and leadership of the Surgical Center
- Provide outstanding patient care on a daily basis
- Work with Anesthesia providers on sedation and carefully monitor patients
- Prepare patient for surgery and manage recovery and discharge procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current California RN license
- Experience in a surgical setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in operating room and PACU equipment
- Knowledge of post-operative care protocols
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
