Job Summary

The Coordinator Neonatal Program at Del Sol Medical Center provides leadership and promotes excellence in patient care for neonatal conditions. Key responsibilities include Performance Improvement activities, chart review, gap identification, change implementation, daily patient rounds, policy and protocol review, and nursing education. Additionally, the position involves abstracting information from high-risk patient medical records as needed, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the registry, and serving as the primary key contact for the facilities' Neonatal Level III program.

Qualifications

  • Required: Associate Degree in Nursing and a minimum of three years of experience in NICU nursing.
  • Prior experience as NICU Clinical Nurse Coordinator is preferred.
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license.
  • BLS Certification and NRP certification are required.
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data, apply critical thinking skills, cope effectively with crisis and emergency situations, communicate effectively, lead a multi-disciplinary team, and demonstrate knowledge of general hospital operations.
  • Preferred: Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing, computer skills, and previous experience in applicable field.
