About the role
Erlanger Health offers RN opportunities for new graduates and those with less than one year of experience. The position is part of the Nurse Residency Program, which helps new nurses transition into professional roles through clinical training, classroom instruction, peer support, and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Participate in advanced clinical classes covering Critical Care, Acute Care, Periop 101, and Pediatric Didactic Clinical rotations across various units.
- Engage in educational seminars during the first year of employment.
- Meet with hospital experts to learn about patient outcomes, leadership, and professional development.
Requirements
- Eligible for graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing with an Associate or Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing prior to employment.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and be eligible to take the NCLEX for Registered Nurse Licensure.
- Obtain Tennessee RN licensure by specific deadlines based on graduation term:
- Spring graduates by October 1st
- Summer graduates by January 1st
- Winter graduates by May 1st
Qualifications
- Education and Licensure Requirements at Time of Hire:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and be eligible to take the NCLEX for Registered Nurse Licensure.
- Proof of graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (final transcript, diploma, or letter stating NCLEX eligibility and test date).
- BLS completed prior to going to unit/department and maintained going forward.
