Registered Nurse New Grad| Tower 2 | Nights
Regular full-time position, 72 hours every two weeks (night shift). Location: Yuma Medical Center. Base hiring salary range: $30.00 – $48.00/hour (actual pay may vary based on skills and experience).
About the Role
The Registered Nurse New Grad is a training and orientation position designed to develop the skills, knowledge, and critical reasoning necessary to become a competent registered nurse in an inpatient setting. This role focuses on gaining experiences that establish a foundation for guiding practice, providing safe care with supervision and guidance from experienced nurses. The New Grad incorporates theoretical knowledge into clinical situations, performs basic skills, and carries out a plan of care. While identifying abnormal findings, the New Grad may seek consultation for solutions. Practice is primarily guided by a Preceptor, referencing policies, procedures, and standards.
Responsibilities
- Conducts patient assessment and coordinates direct patient care.
- Performs charting and documentation.
- Provides teaching to patients and families in preparation for discharge.
- Communicates effectively with the healthcare team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (essential).
- Registered Nurse (RN) license (essential).
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (essential).
