About the role
Care for patients with severe stroke, seizure and other neurological disorders.
Become NIHSS Certified.
Assist patients requiring EMU monitoring.
Provide wound care and manage drainage tubes for post-surgical brain and spine procedures.
Support patients with neuropsychological/behavioral health diagnoses.
Responsibilities
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- NIHSS certification required either prior to hire or during initial orientation.
Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
