Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) position is available for 13 weeks at 450 Northside Cherokee Boulevard, Canton, GA 30115. The schedule is 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates requiring intensive care.
- Perform comprehensive neonatal assessments, monitor vital signs, and recognize changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, intravenous fluids, parenteral nutrition, blood products, and other therapies in accordance with physician orders.
- Auxiliary with neonatal resuscitation, stabilization, and emergency interventions following NRP guidelines.
- Manage and monitor ventilators, CPAP, high-flow oxygen therapy, and other neonatal respiratory support equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU RN experience required.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
- Experience caring for critically ill and premature neonates in a Level II, III, or IV NICU preferred.
- Strong neonatal assessment, critical care, ventilator management, and family-centered care skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity neonatal intensive care environment.
