Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for neonatal patients
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and changing clinical conditions
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
• Operate and monitor advanced neonatal equipment and technology
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide education, emotional support, and resources to parents and family members
• Document patient care accurately within the electronic medical record
• Adhere to hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice activities

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
• STABLE certification (must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor certification (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date)
• Prior Level III or higher NICU experience is required
