Role Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. They ensure adherence to professional standards, evidence-based practices, and organizational policies, supporting patient and family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
  • Partner with patients and families through effective communication and culturally sensitive care.
  • Coordinate and document safe, quality care, fostering teamwork and inclusive collaboration.
  • Support professional development by mentoring and maintaining competencies.
  • Promote research and performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Participate in protocol development, resource management, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma in nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
  • Current RN license; multi-state compact license preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS, NRP, and others required upon hire.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct patient care experience.
