Role Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. They ensure adherence to professional standards, evidence-based practices, and organizational policies, supporting patient and family-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication and culturally sensitive care.
- Coordinate and document safe, quality care, fostering teamwork and inclusive collaboration.
- Support professional development by mentoring and maintaining competencies.
- Promote research and performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Participate in protocol development, resource management, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma in nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
- Current RN license; multi-state compact license preferred.
- Certifications: BLS, NRP, and others required upon hire.
- Minimum 5 years of direct patient care experience.
