Registered Nurse (Mount View Care Center)
About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) at Mount View Care Center provides and coordinates skilled nursing care for residents in a skilled nursing facility, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centered care in accordance with professional nursing standards, state and federal regulations, and organizational policies. This role functions as a charge nurse, overseeing unit-based nursing operations, supervising ancillary nursing staff, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to support resident health, safety, and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provides skilled nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility in accordance with professional standards, physician orders, and organizational policies.
- Conducts comprehensive and ongoing assessments of resident condition and responds appropriately to changes in health status.
- Develops, implements, evaluates, and updates individualized plans of care using the nursing process.
- Administers medications, IV therapies, and treatments while monitoring effectiveness and adverse reactions.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to support person-centered care, discharge planning, and care transitions.
- Supports admission, discharge, and transfer processes, including resident and family education.
- Adheres to infection prevention, safety, and regulatory requirements, including use of PPE and emergency response protocols.
- Aids residents with activities of daily living as needed to ensure comfort, dignity, and safety.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Wisconsin
- Current BLS certification
- Uses electronic medical record systems and standard office software
- Ability to safely lift, transfer, reposition, and assist residents, using appropriate equipment and established safe patient handling practices
Preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, geriatric nursing, memory care or ventilator care

Pay
The starting pay range for this role is $40.02 - $43.58 and $1.00 shift differential for all hours between 2:00pm and 6:00am, based on education and experience.
Schedule
This job is in-person. There are full-time and part-time roles available. Shift availability is 2:00pm - 10:00pm, 6:00pm - 6:00am or 10:00pm - 6:00am.
