Registered Nurse - Mother/Baby - Night Shift

About the Role

Provide care for mothers and infants in the Postpartum Unit, focusing on assessment, education, and support during the postpartum period.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing assessments of mothers and newborns.
• Deliver patient education on postpartum and newborn care.
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care.
• Participate in quality initiatives and safety practices.
• Maintain clinical practice aligned with established guidelines (AWHONN, ACOG, NRP, AAP).
• Support early family bonding.
• Ensure compliance with clinical and safety standards.

Requirements

• Current MA RN licensure.
• BLS (AHA) certification.
• NRP certification (must be obtained prior to orientation completion).
• Mother-baby/nursery experience; Level 1b nursery experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
