Registered Nurse - MG2 Telemetry - Nights

About the role
The primary objective of this position is to provide quality of care. Responsible for the direct and/or indirect care of patients assigned utilizing professional nursing skills and knowledge.
Unit Overview: Tele monitored patients with a nurse to patient ratio of 4:1-6:1. The unit contains double rooms and approximately 48 beds.
Responsibilities
- Assess learning needs, readiness to learn, and identify actual or potential barriers to learning, incorporating the patient's education into daily activities based on age, cultural, and spiritual values.
- Document admission assessment/reassessment, plan, interventions, and medication use, monitoring its effects and outcomes according to policy.
- Utilize the information management system to enhance communication and document changes in patients' conditions to all appropriate individuals.
- Prioritize work assignments based on changing situations.
- Communicate transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at the bedside and during Interprofessional Rounds.
- Recognize and integrate patient special needs, individualize care, and demonstrate knowledge in abuse recognition and referral.
- Include pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.
- Adhere to infection control standards specific to patient care and promote and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BSN required from an accredited school of nursing.
- PA RN License.
- AHA BLS certification.
