About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions. They utilize evidence-based practices, technology, and therapeutic techniques while coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver personalized care.
Responsibilities
- Assess: Evaluate patients' physical, social, and psychological status, including cognitive and developmental skills, by gathering and analyzing information from patients, families, physicians, and support staff.
- Plan: Develop individualized care plans through collaboration, involving patients and families, and prepare for ongoing support, education, referrals, and follow-up.
- Implement: Lead and coordinate care delivery, delegate tasks appropriately, and manage resources efficiently while adhering to care guidelines and professional standards.
- Evaluate: Monitor patient responses, review outcomes, and revise care plans as needed to ensure optimal results and satisfaction.
- Professionalism: Uphold legal and ethical standards, ensure accurate documentation, and contribute to the development of the nursing profession.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid RN license in the practice state and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, patient care coordination, and documentation skills.
- Ability to assess patient needs, collaborate effectively, and demonstrate accountability and professionalism.
Additional Requirements
- Physical ability to see, hear, communicate, and perform manual tasks including patient transfers and equipment handling.
- Capability to operate monitors, navigate busy environments, and, if applicable, drive a vehicle.
