About the role

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical - Travel position available at Duke Lifepoint Hospital in Wilson, NC. This 294-bed Joint Commission Accredited facility offers comprehensive care including cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, and surgical services. The position is located 45 miles east of Raleigh, 2 hours from the coast of NC, and within 1 hour of major universities including Duke, NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and East Carolina University. The facility is a 15-minute drive from Lake Wilson and is home to the historic Fleming Stadium.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical-surgical nursing care to adult and geriatric patient populations
• Manage patient assignments with ratios of 5:1 or 6:1
• Utilize Meditech EMR for documentation
• Operate equipment including Welch Allyn V/S machine, Hoyer Lift with weight scale, Abbott Glucometer, Computers on Wheels, TR band, and Baxter IV pumps
• Collaborate with Clinical Staff Lead or Charge Nurse supervisor

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• Start date: September 14, 2026

Pay

Pay rate: $1,791.00 – $1,882.00
