Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Ortho Neuro

Department: Medical Surgical Ortho Neuro
Schedule: Days, 7:00am - 7:30pm, 3-12-hour shifts
Facility: Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center
Location: Aurora, IL, 60506
Sign-on bonus: Up to $10,000.00 (eligibility and payout terms apply; details discussed during interview process)

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit
• Be directly responsible and accountable for care given to assigned patients
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
• Minimum 1 year acute/hospital nursing experience strongly preferred
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred
• Ventilator Management experience preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Pay

Competitive compensation with estimated range of $35.35 to $53.58. Exact starting compensation determined at time of hire based on skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
