Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Responsibilities

• Performs ongoing assessments, cardiac and neurological monitoring, and timely interventions to detect patient changes early.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate testing and treatment plans.
• Educates patients and families on disease management, medications, and discharge instructions to ensure continuity of care and reduce readmissions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Must hold an RN license from the Tennessee Board of Nursing and BLS certification within 1 month of hire.
• PREFERRED: 6 months of acute care nursing experience; willingness to obtain NIH Stroke Scale Certification.
