About the role
The Medical Surgical Department at North Alabama Shoals Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) who can utilize specialized plan-of-care interventions and serve as a patient-care innovator. This role involves making exceptional patient journeys every day and leveraging skills and cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Utilize specialized plan-of-care intervention
- Serve as a patient-care innovator
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
- Document patient care provided
- Absorb and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family
- Perform timely and accurate QI assessments
Requirements
An associate’s degree in nursing is required, with a bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. BCLS certification is required, along with ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care certifications, which must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
