About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) at Cedar City Hospital Med Surg is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The position requires a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice, valid compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days of employment, and BLS certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Assesses physical, social, and psychological status of patients, including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop and revise the plan of care, ensuring patient, family, and team involvement.
- Directs interdisciplinary care teams, delegates tasks, coordinates care, and ensures effective management of patient care delivery.
- Provides or delegates care according to the plan of care, adhering to professional licensure provisions and regulatory standards.
- Evaluates patient responses to interventions, revises the plan of care as necessary, and reassesses changes in patient status.
- Promotes the nursing profession, participates in professional development, and complies with legal and ethical standards in practice.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Valid compact license transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment.
- BLS certification for healthcare providers.
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Pay
The hourly range for this position is $35.22 - $53.29, with actual hourly rates dependent upon experience.
Schedule
This is a Full Time, Night shift position at Cedar City Hospital Med Surg. The position will undergo a 4-week training period in the day shift before transitioning to night shifts.
