Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

About the role

The registered nurse in the Med Surg department works the night shift (1830-0700) providing safe, compassionate, and therapeutic patient care by utilizing the nursing process and organizational training.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate clinical competence, critical thinking, and knowledge of departmental policies to collaborate effectively with the healthcare team and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Applies basic skills to meet care standards and functions as a full partner within an interdisciplinary team.
• This role includes a bi-weekly schedule of 72 hours.

Requirements

• Must be a new RN graduate or a licensed RN in good standing in Arkansas; BSN preferred.
• Not currently participating in the Clinical Nurse Advancement Program.

Specialties

• Healthcare CPR required; some units may require additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, or NALS, which are provided.
• Specialty units offer specific education as needed.
