About the role
The position is located at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. It is a full-time role with a flexible schedule including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Treatment utilized includes care for medical illnesses, psychotherapy, individual supportive therapy, group therapy, behavior modification and management, cognitive behavioral therapy, pharmacology, electroconvulsive therapy, etc.
- Works in a closed 14-bed adult unit specializing in the care of medically compromised and geriatric patients in a psychiatric setting.
- Oversees a separate procedural area that conducts inpatient and outpatient ECT under the supervision of 3 East staff.
- Coordinates nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
- Supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.
- Delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and availability of resources.
- Possesses excellent communication skills; is skilled in mentoring and teaching; and may participate on committees or projects.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a nursing program, as recognized by ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA.
- One year of professional RN experience is required.
- Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) must be valid for 90 days post start date.
- Additional Specialty Certification/training as Required By The Work Area.
