Nature And Scope
This position is responsible for quickly and accurately assessing the condition of the patient presenting at the clinic, ensuring proper handling of controlled medications, administering medications as ordered by the clinic providers, and generally overseeing patient care to maintain continuity. This includes carrying out the provider's orders for care, making referral arrangements, and conducting call-backs on previous patients.
The challenges faced by this position include delivering patient care involving new techniques, managing paperwork, adapting to changes in department and hospital policies, accessing and integrating new information about each patient, and dealing with fluctuations in staffing levels.
The incumbent must keep up-to-date with all relevant standards to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, including third-party reimbursement requirements. They are also accountable for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families.

Minimum Qualifications
- Required and/or Preferred Education: Working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English; appropriate education to obtain and maintain Registered Nursing licensure in the State of Nevada.
- Experience: Six months recent Nursing experience preferred.
- Licenses: Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Registered Nurse license.
- Certifications: Current CPR certification by AHA standards is required.
- Computer / Typing: Possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
