About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The role involves utilizing the nursing process, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and providing or delegating care consistent with the plan of care.

Responsibilities

  • Affirmatively assess physical, social, and psychological status of patients.
  • Elicit and evaluate information from other members of the interdisciplinary team, including patients, families, physicians, non-nursing disciplines, support staff, and others.
  • Collaboratively develop and implement individualized plans of care, involving patient, family, team, and physician input.
  • Direct interdisciplinary care teams through delegation, coordination, and collaboration, ensuring effective management of patient care delivery.
  • Provide or delegate care according to the plan of care, guidelines of care, and professional licensure provisions.
  • Evaluate patient responses to interventions, revising the plan of care as necessary and reassessing changes as required.
  • Promote the nursing profession and contribute to the development of others, adhering to legal and ethical standards, and practicing within the scope of licensure.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and through written documentation, to ensure accurate and timely communication among patients, families, and care teams.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment.
  • RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four years of hire.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $35.22 - $53.29.

Schedule

The position is available for a Full-time nights or 50/50 position on T8/Medical Endocrine at IMC.
