Responsibilities
- Uses the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement to organize and supervise care provided by supportive personnel.
- Coordinates care provided by ancillary services, including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
- Educates patients/SO/families about their disease process and plan of care.
- Serves as a patient advocate and is responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
Requirements
- ACLS certification required within 6 months for Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs.
- PALS certification required within 1 year of hire for Free Standing EDs and within 6 months for WCH ED.
Qualifications
