Responsibilities
- The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
- Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
- The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.
- The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care.
- Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in a surgical unit.
- Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license
- BLS
- 6 months RN acute care experience
- Associates Degree in Nursing
