East Liverpool City Hospital, a member of the Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an award-winning community hospital proudly serving residents of the tristate region since 1905. With 152 licensed beds and more than 500 employees, the hospital averages 31,000 Emergency Department visits annually. The medical staff includes over 160 physicians and 21 resident physicians completing training in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine.

The hospital provides 24/7 emergency services, general surgery, medical stabilization for substance abuse, behavioral health for adults over the age of 55, and is the ONLY cardiac rehabilitation program in Columbiana County.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current (preferred).
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience (preferred).
• Ventilator Management experience (preferred).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred).
