About the Role
Provide direct nursing care in a 30-bed Med Surg Stepdown unit, supporting patient recovery and skill development. Implement and monitor care plans, record patient conditions, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams. Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts, carry out physician and nursing orders, assess discharge planning needs, and collaborate with team members.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care adhering to policies and protocols.
- Serve as primary coordinator for patient care across disciplines.
- Monitor patient conditions, document findings, and communicate updates.
- Assist with discharge planning and patient education.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse with licensure from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Current BLS certification within 1 month of hire and Advanced Life Support within 6 months, accepted from AHA or Red Cross.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school or college.
