Registered Nurse MED SURG & PEDS LEVEL 3

About the Role

To assess, plan, and implement nursing care to meet patients’ needs by following the appropriate policies and procedures of the assigned department.

Requirements

• Completion of a Diploma Nursing Program or an Associate Degree in Nursing (AA) or higher.
• Unexpired state licensure from the Maryland Board of Nursing or a compact state board of nursing.
• Registered Nurse Certification in specialty (preferred).
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience.
• Successful completion of Pediatric Competency Self-Learning Packet within one year of hire.
• Maintain unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications as required by policy.

Skills

• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook).
• Professionalism in effectively communicating with internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize concurrent projects, meet deadlines, and produce quality work.
• Effective communication with all patient populations and staff using organization-wide techniques.
• Advocacy for quality patient safety and satisfaction as a daily practice.
