About the role
The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse- DPC RN is responsible for delivering patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing and promoting evidence-based practice standards of quality, safety, and service.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Provide technical nursing care, including administering medications and treatments
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Apply critical thinking skills to evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary
- Interact with patients and families in a compassionate and professional manner
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control measures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
- Basic Life Support certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
- Associate’s degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- One year acute Med Surg experience, with Oncology and ONS experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Chemotherapy immunotherapy certificate required within six months
