About the role

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse- DPC RN is responsible for delivering patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing and promoting evidence-based practice standards of quality, safety, and service.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
• Provide technical nursing care, including administering medications and treatments
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Apply critical thinking skills to evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary
• Interact with patients and families in a compassionate and professional manner
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control measures
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
• Basic Life Support certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
• Associate’s degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• One year acute Med Surg experience, with Oncology and ONS experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Chemotherapy immunotherapy certificate required within six months
