About the role

The Nurse Manager is a registered nurse responsible for leading and managing a clinical unit or service to promote excellence in patient care, staff retention, and clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Engaging staff through shared governance and fostering a culture of relationship-based, patient-centered care.
• Serving as the chief retention and safety officer, managing human and material resources effectively.
• Analyzing financial data, reducing waste, and improving operational performance using quality improvement strategies.
• Promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, establishing strong partnerships, and resolving conflicts to ensure a healthy work environment.
• Supporting staff competency, adherence to professional standards, and fostering professional growth.
• Applying evidence-based practice, research, and performance improvement to enhance patient safety and quality of care.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing risks, and utilizing data for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred)
• Current RN licensure in Georgia or multi-state Compact
• Valid BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years in nursing management
