Registered Nurse Manager (RN)

About the role

The RN Manager oversees and manages daily clinical operations within the assigned unit or department, provides leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensures high-quality care for all residents, collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, addresses and resolves clinical and operational challenges, supports staff development, and acts as a liaison between staff, residents, families, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily clinical operations within the assigned unit or department
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence
• Ensure high-quality care for all residents, with a focus on reducing avoidable hospitalizations
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support admissions, care planning, and resident outcomes
• Address and resolve clinical and operational challenges in real time
• Support staff development through coaching, education, and performance management
• Act as a liaison between staff, residents, families, and senior leadership to ensure strong communication and satisfaction

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• CPR Certification
• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Passion for mentoring and developing team members
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and problem-solve effectively
• Availability to work occasional weekends as needed
