Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field to ensure a safe, infection-free environment for every surgical procedure.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team by providing the correct instruments and supplies with speed and accuracy.
• Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to streamline operative workflows, directly impacting patient safety and procedure efficiency.
• Maintain meticulous counts and equipment checks to uphold the highest standards of patient care and operational excellence.
• Support the post-operative transition by ensuring the surgical suite is expertly reset and ready for the next life-saving procedure.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.
• 1+ year of professional experience in a surgical or operating room setting.
