About the role
The Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency (HHSA) is recruiting for a Registered Nurse – Lead position. This role involves mental health and public health lead supervision, assisting supervisors in clinic operations, and providing primary care nursing services.
Responsibilities
- Aid nursing administration in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Perform a variety of nursing duties in clinics such as specialty, general, obstetrics, pediatrics, or surgery.
- Instruct licensed and non-licensed personnel on clinic duties.
- Provide health education and counseling to clients.
- Administer and record medications, immunizations, and treatments.
- Oversee patient schedules and clinic flow, delegating assignments, preparing schedules, monitoring, and ordering medications and supplies.
- Coordinate and supervise routine tasks for clinic staff.
- Communicate with patients, families, program partners, and providers.
- Assist nursing professionals and support staff.
- Act as a liaison between the Public Health Branch and other organizations.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- A valid California Registered Nurse License issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Two years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably with some lead worker experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a lead registered nurse.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

Skills
- Effective communication skills.
