  • Monitor maternal and fetal status; interpret data to identify risks and escalate promptly.
  • Document care accurately in electronic medical records; ensure compliance and traceability.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices.
  • Perform and assist with obstetric procedures and emergency protocols as trained.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans.
  • Demonstrate ongoing professional development; seek mentorship and pursue performance-based advancement.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to optimize labor management and pain control strategies.
  • Educate patients and families about procedures, expectations, and postnatal care.
  • Maintain a results-driven mindset; track metrics related to patient outcomes and efficiency.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative, merit-based culture.
  • Participate in on-site shift coverage, rotating assignments to meet unit needs.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with current license for the relevant state or country.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred; 2+ years L&D experience.
  • Proficient monitoring of maternal-fetal status and interpretation of data.
  • Ability to perform and assist obstetric procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Experience with electronic medical records; accurate documentation and coding.
  • Strong infection prevention, safety standards, and compliance knowledge.
  • Collaborative, multidisciplinary team participation with clear care plan execution.
  • Experience with evidence-based practice in labor management and pain control.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to escalate risks promptly.
  • Excellent patient and family education, with postnatal care guidance.
  • Ability to track and interpret unit metrics; strive for outcomes improvement.
  • Mentor junior staff; contribute to merit-based, growth-focused culture.
  • On-site shift coverage; flexibility to rotate assignments to meet unit needs.
