Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery, Part-Time

About the Role

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process
• Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients
• Evaluate effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers
• Coordinate patient care with other departments
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality

Requirements

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
• Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (or completion within 30 days of hire)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Schedule

Part-Time - Varies, 12-hour weeks
